Introduction of the Organization: SCEWA is a nonprofitable civil society organization. It has come into the arena of social services in 1990 with a firmly zeal and fervor of helping the community in the fields of: Education, Vocational Trainings, Anti-Narcotics, Health, HIV /AIDS and other developmental & relief matters. SCEWA has achieved a great success during last 16 year-period. We are slowly but surely moving towards the service delivery, awareness and capacity building of the community, which is the prime motto of our mission. Tremendous and unflinching efforts have been put on to pursue our mission through fulfilling its mandate and objectives. Our Vision::A healthy and prosperous Society based on Gender equality and justice equity in every walk of life.
Aim and Objectives of the NGO: Our mission is to help the helpless and to develop the society through awareness enhancement and service delivery specially through vocational skills development to Alleviate Poverty in District Peshawar in particular and NWFP in general and to make the society clean and eliminate: Illiteracy, Poverty, Brutality with and violence against Women, HIV/AIDS, Narcotics, Unemployment and other Social Evils to change the behaviour of males with women and Destiny of our Nation towards Prosperous Life. Our NGO “SCEWA” is trying to re-address the indigenous people and has started working on a beneficial project for their rehabilitation and to enable them to get self developed. Description of Project: The SCEWA current project has the following activities: Vocational Training 2: Literacy 3: Political Education Medical Representative Training Program: In private sector, medicine line is the main profitable business where a lot of female SPOs (Sales Promotion officers) and Medical Representatives are always required whom handsome salaries are paid. Our this training is producing female and male Medical Reps to work for the medicine companies, create links with doctors and earn better livelihood.
SCEWA Vocational Project takes three to six months in training to enable the indigenous people to get skilled and get job or commence own business to get self developed which has been proved the best measure for the developing society. For gender equality, it is essential that the women must be provided Adult Literacy and awareness program to get rid of brutality. Moreover, the Literate women can impress their husbands and other family members through their change of behaviour.
So our SCEWA has established about five home schools for women’s adult literacy in this respect and try to enable them to read, write, speak and understand calculation etc; create awareness in them about their duty and rights through the religious source.
